Odds & Ends

I have a whole slew of random pictures and moments for this post. Some of them dating back to mid-December!  Better late than never, right?

My good friend Renee was here in Arkansas with her girls for a month (or maybe even longer) over the holidays, but between both her girls being sick and 4 of our 5 having the flu, we ended up only being able to get together one stinking time. We had them over to the house for a play date and Titus and Taelyn were a total mess...a cute mess though!

Titus was absolutely beside himself over baby Tenley.

Even Matt got some baby snuggles over his lunch break.

At one point the kiddos ran off to our master bathroom and were super duper quiet., which usually means all kinds of trouble with Titus. I decided to go look for them and even though I was flat-out humiliated at the state of disarray in our bathroom I had to have Renee come look as well. (FYI You will know you are a close friend if I let you come in our disaster bathroom!)  The two of them were camped out under my vanity and were the absolute cutest things.

Titus and Drew have a total love/hate relationship. I don't know if it's the fact that they are so close in age or the fact that their personalities are too similar, but the often drive each other bananas. When they have sweet moments with each other, I have to document them asap!

Shopping with Titus is never dull. He talks to everyone we pass, sneaks gum out of my purse, and plays dress up any chance he gets.

Here's Adam with some of his buds from school. I love going to his school every week to volunteer and see what all they are up to. He's got some really great friends.

It's been a while since we've spent quality time with S & O, so this particular visit was a special treat.

Titus loves having spikey hair and asks for spikes more often than not when we leave the house.

One of my favorite Pinterest finds is the creation of a memory jar. We did this for 2012 and I would jot down fun moments whenever I remembered throughout the year. On New Years Eve we all sat down together and went through the entire jar. Brought back so many great memories...it was definitely a good year for our fam.

Here are my red-cheeked boys with a messy-mouthed Harrison at his 6th birthday party. They had a great and sweaty time!

Adam and Drew rarely ever fight or bicker, but one evening they were both annoying each other to no end so my solution was to stick them in the same shirt and make them love out their issues. They laughed so much they forgot all the reasons why they were mad.

Back when Adam was sick last month there was one day when both Drew and Titus were in preschool and me and Adam had our own special day. Matt and I try to make an effort to do 1 on 1 things with the kids from time to time, but I think it has been YEARS since it was just Adam and I hanging out at home by ourselves. We stopped at Sonic for drinks and then came home to play cards and watch a movie together. Hated he was sick, but LOVED that day!

We had a church play date a while back and Mandy made snowman hot chocolates with the kiddos. Huge hit!

Drew spent several weeks working to earn a special Daddy/Drewie Date. He had to get 7 stars and to get a star he had to go an entire day with no whining or showing aggression towards others (he was having a very hard time with his temper and hitting a few weeks back). I'm a little embarrassed of how long it took him to get those 7 stars, but he eventually did it and was so, so proud. And although the date was going to be just him and daddy the entire time, he decided at the last minute he couldn't bear to leave Adam. The 3 of them spent an afternoon at Fast Lanes and had an absolute blast.

We had a play date with Rachel and Charlotte last week at Chick Fil A. This picture cracks me up because it looks like Charlotte can't get away from Titus quick enough (although I think she secretly has a crush).

The boys had the day off of school for Martin Luther King Day and we celebrated with bowling with some of our neighborhood friends. Cosmic bowling at that, which they all really enjoyed.

Titus is obsessed with his KU basketball outfit. I'm talking OBSESSED! It's usually the first thing he asks for when he wakes up and if I ever have to change his clothes to leave the house, you'd better believe he starts stripping down the second we return home so he can wear his basketball clothes. Heaven forbid I ever try to wash them! (He's even wearing them right now.)

Adam started Upwards basketball again and Matt is once again coaching him. It's been really great for both of them and we love going to Adam's games every Saturday.

There are some great pics here! When you mentioned Titus' love for his KU uniform, did you also mention that he has a baguette in a death grip? I got a kick out of it! That boy must love his carbs.

Some of my other faves are the bubbles in the tub, Matt and Lil and Drew with his turban. That boy loves to get his hair did and do some 'her', huh? :)

Love to all!
