Matt and I received our first ever passports earlier this week. It felt like another reason to celebrate...one more step to get us closer to China!
We could not help but crack up all over again over our awful passport photos. A straight-faced Matt looks like a serial killer. For real...it's scary. And a picture of me not smiling is about as rare as a Loch Ness Monster sighting. I was trying so hard to follow the rules and not smile when the Walgreens chick took my picture that I ended up looking like I just smelled a heinous fart.
Told you.
In other adoption news, we only have one interview left for our home study and then we wait for our social worker to write the final report. I'll share more on all that soon, but it feels good to be making progress.
We also found out this week that the little girl we expressed interest in many weeks ago has been matched with a family farther along in the process than we are. Once we realized how much more significant her needs are, we were actually praying for that to happen. She needs a loving family as soon as possible and I was thrilled to see that a family was moving forward with her adoption. I'm not sure if I'm really allowed to share photos of her, but if you want to see some pics of this unbelievably precious girl you can find them here.
Our little girl is still out there somewhere and we continue to wait for her as our hearts grow more and more anxious to bring her home.

The 4 of us have passports and we're all smiling in them! Weird! We just got them in December, too. I will giggle at yours a little though :) Mike had one done 10+ years ago with a full beard and hair grown out, not smiling- totally looked like he should be on a no-fly list!
Pee-ewww! That WAS a stinky one!!! :) and Akkkk! *Jamie runs away frightened for her LIFE*
